God Bless Clifton Hanger's troubled soul: Brent is the only missing man that brings a tear out of nowhere when listening to the Dead of his era. I enjoy listening to the Frost '89. It was my 1st time getting a digSBD>my VHS HiFi 'right after' (~next week after) the shows>Thanks Mr Deal, Stanford alumnus.
Charlotte 10.23.89 was my second of only 2 front row adventures with our Boys(the other being at least set II of 6.30.85). The aforementioned Brent vocal flub in 'We can Run' was my single most painful Deadshow moment.

On the other hand, check out the Brent verse & scat in Rooster (& his jamming in 2nd half of Space & the first half of The Other One Space)of this Duke '82 show http://www.archive.org/details/gd1982-04-02.sbd.tetzeli.clugston-fix.34846.sbeok.shnf
I wish there was an audience recording of this show on IA- My copy is 'misplaced;' should I find it, it will be duly forwarded to those best able to transfer. The China>Rider & Whistle-start Truckin' & THE OTHER ONE come time mind as particular highlights of the Cameron Audience Sound.

*Wheel o' fortune- just one hard spin*

(for Brent by Jack)
He lived out on the edge,
he died in the same old vein,
Bungee jumped-no net-again,

Clif Hanger off a ledge
Bamboo splints or sugar'd 'caine,
Fightin' life-no one can win,

Thru the fence thru the hedge
just find one more soldier slain,
Victim of his next of kin.

Well, Jack, we may have been next to each other then! I'm not sure, but I used to be really good at getting to the front, and I'm fairly sure I got to the front unofficially at that show ... and, if you think you were there "for at least set II," maybe you were there unofficially, too :-)
